It is not growing like a tree
In bulk, doth make Man better be;
Or standing long an oak, three hundred year,
To fall a log at last, dry, bald, and sere:
A lily of a day
Is fairer far in May,
Although it fall and die that night -
It was the plant and flower of Light
In small proportions we just beauties see;
And in short measures life may perfect be.
Bulk - बहुत बड़ा, large in quantity
Doth - does
Oak -
Log -
Bald -
Fairer - more beautiful,
Although- हालांकि, though
Proportion - ratio,
Measures - काल, माप, period
( Becoming a great man does not mean growing big like a tree. And it doesn't even mean to live long for three hundred years like the Oak tree and fallacy last dry log without leaves.
The flower of lily blooming in May is more beautiful than that Oak. Though lily will fall the same day yet it was a flower that gave happiness.
We enjoy beauty in smaller things. It doesn't require to be large to be beautiful. Short life can also be perfect like that of lily.)
